Meeting Minutes for 11th March 2013

These minutes have been provided as the legal copy of proceedings of the Aston Ingham Parish Council Meetings for the information of Parishioners of Aston Ingham Parish.






MINUTES OF ASTON INGHAM PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 11TH MARCH 2013 AT 7.30 P.M. IN THE VILLAGE HALL

ATTENDED BY Mr J. Harding (Chairman), Mr C. Tormey, Mr J. Whatley, Mr S. Burns, Mrs R. Tree.

APOLOGIES WERE RECEIVED FROM Mr E. Green

MINUTES OF FEBRUARY MEETING were read, approved and signed.

MATTERS ARISING

1)     Roads. Potholes at Lanx Cottage and junction of Barrel Lane have still not been filled. Reminder to Amey and claim details from recent article in The Guardian to be put in The Chimes.

2)     30 m.p.h. sign has been reinstated.

3)     Hedge opposite junction of Barrel Lane and B4222 and School House is still causing problems for high vehicles. Council to be contacted again.

4)     Blocked drains. Council have been contacted regarding location.

5)     Salt bins. Letter received from James Powell. Locations to be advised before prioritisation.

6)     Clerk to liaise with Mr Tormey regarding notes and minutes for The Chimes and Blogsite.

7)     The problem of speeding tractors with slurry tankers was discussed.

8)     Horses causing damage to gardens in village. This has been reported to police and is being looked into.

9)     Preaching Cross. Approval has been received from the D.A.C. (Diocesan Advisory Committee). Mr Whatley has met with stonemason about replacement plinth. Faculty form to be completed.

10) H.A.L.C. Letter received from Lynda Wilcox about planning application process.

11) Letter from Richard Waters (Gloucestershire Highways) in response to Parish Council’s letter requesting measures to be put in place to prevent HGVs from using B4222.

PLANNING

1)     Land adjoining Millbrook Gardens, Lea. S123142/0. Site for erection of ten dwellings. Application refused.

2)     Bannock Tree, Aston Ingham Road.S130082/FH. Proposed two storey extension including demolition of utility room. The Parish Council had no objections.

  1. Clerk’s salary (3 months) £200.00. Mr Harding proposed this be paid. Mr Tormey seconded. All in favour. Cheques were written. (£160.00 – clerk. £40.00 – H.M.R.C.)
  2. Petty Cash. Mr Harding proposed £20.00 be transferred to petty cash. Mrs Tree seconded. All in favour.
ANY OTHER MATTERS

v  Parish Map – plans were confirmed for fireproof display case for map.

DATES OF NEXT MEETING

Monday 8th April

Monday 13th May – Parish Meeting followed by Annual Meeting of the Parish Council

MEETING CLOSED AT 9.22 p.m.

The Aston Ingham Parish Council meeting is held in the committee room in the Village Hall on the second Monday of each month (excluding August, unless a special meeting needs to be called).
The meeting begins promptly at 7.30 p.m., and business is usually finished by 9.30 – 10.00 p.m.
Parishioners are welcome to attend the monthly meetings, and if they have any points of concern with respect to our parish to send a letter prior to the meeting to our clerk, Heather Hobbs, Brooklands Cottage, Aston Ingham, HR9 7LS, for discussion at the meeting. Alternatively, points may be raised during the allocated time for public submissions at the meeting.
